Hello, I’m Bryonie, thanks for visiting my blog.
In October 2013, in my late thirties, I was involved in a serious head-on road traffic collision. I suffered multiple traumas with severe fractures to my right ankle, right kneecap and left arm. Ten operations, three plates, approximately forty screws and two years later, I opted for an ankle arthrodesis (fusion) in January 2016 to reduce the constant pain and to increase my mobility. I currently have almost full shoulder mobility, a fused ankle and a knee with a restricted range of movement.
Before the accident, I was a fit and active Pilates junkie with a swimming habit. Now that my surgeries are complete for the time being, I want to challenge my new body to see what it can achieve and to what heights I can take my recovery.
In other news, I am a freelance social media manager and mother of two, living on Dartmoor in the UK.
